Prof. Dr. DEĞİM is currently a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, including Asian Chemistry Letters, Türkiye Klinikleri, Eczacılık Bilimleri, Austin Chromatography, ACTA Pharmaceutica Sciencia, Pharmaceutical Drug Regulatory Affairs Journal (PDRAJ), Biruni Health and Education Sciences Journal (BHESJ), Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Current Drug Delivery, and Current NanoScience.
He is the inventor of several innovations, including:
- A method for measuring blood urea levels by reverse iontophoresis
- A cartridge for electrodialysis
- An extended-release fluvastatin tablet
- A swallowable iontophoresis tablet
His research focuses on controlled drug release systems, iontophoresis, transdermal drug delivery, pharmaceutical formulation, generic drug development, bioequivalence, pharmacokinetics, and the application of optimization techniques in pharmaceutical technology. He is also active in cutting-edge areas such as nanotechnology, aerospace pharmacy, carbon nanotubes, boron nitride nanotubes, and quantum dots.
Notably, he has developed a new generation of quantum dots for novel pharmaceutical applications. He has published numerous scientific articles and has supervised many Ph.D. theses, particularly in the field of quantum dots.
